Every artist has a story, and every story has its roots. For me, the origins of my art business mascot, Zoomy the Zebra, begin with a heartfelt gift and a playful joke that turned into something much bigger.
Years ago, someone close to me gave me a stuffed animal zebra. This wasn’t just any zebra, though—it had no hooves. We laughed about it and gave him a silly name, “Zoomy No Hands.” From that moment on, zebras became a recurring theme in my life. This person would often gift me zebra-related items, telling me that I reminded them of a zebra. They said I stood out from the crowd, just like a zebra stands out on the safari. It wasn’t just about appearance—it was about essence.
I’ve always had a unique style and way of carrying myself that turns heads, whether it’s through how I dress, how I present myself, or how I create art. For me, blending in has never been the goal. Life, just like art, is meant to be bold, vibrant, and unapologetically authentic.
So, when I started my art business, it only felt natural to bring this zebra identity into my brand. I wanted a mascot who not only reflected my love for creativity but also embodied the individuality and boldness I’ve always aimed to express. And thus, Zoomy the Zebra was born.

Zoomy’s design wasn’t something I just threw together—it was a reflection of me. At the time, I had a mohawk, so I gave Zoomy one too. I loved my yellow Converse sneakers, so Zoomy got his own pair of yellow-inspired kicks. His look was completed with a sleek “Z” icon placed on his yellow neckerchief, tying his entire design together seamlessly.
Initially, his mohawk and the paint on his tail were blue, but when purple became my favorite color, I made the change. For me, purple symbolizes balance—the meeting point of extremes like hot and cold, fire and water. It’s a reminder that even in a life full of contrasts, harmony is always possible.
But Zoomy is more than just a mascot. He has his own personality—a punk rock zebra who loves art, adventure, and breaking the mold. He’s the embodiment of creativity, individuality, and the joy of standing out in a world that often pushes for conformity.
Zoomy represents the core of what my art brand is all about: daring to be different, creating with passion, and living life vibrantly. Whether it’s in the form of my art, my business, or the way I choose to navigate life, Zoomy serves as a reminder to embrace your quirks, celebrate your individuality, and never stop being unapologetically you.
So, every time you see Zoomy on my website or in my designs, know that he’s more than just a zebra—he’s a symbol of my journey, my passion, and my commitment to standing out, just like that little stuffed zebra with no hooves that started it all.
Stay bold, stay creative, and never be afraid to stick out. After all, that’s where the magic happens.
