Closing a Chapter: My Last Day at CarMax

Wow—how time flies! Today marks my last day at CarMax, and I can hardly believe it. Earlier this month, I officially put in my four-week notice, preparing to embark on a brand-new career path. Starting in February, I’ll be working as a Glass Technician at Glass Doctor in Ottawa, where I’ll be repairing and replacing automotive windshields for dealerships throughout the Chicagoland and Illinois Valley areas.

CarMax and I have been through a lot together. I started working there when I was just 20 years old, and now, as I approach 30, I look back on the past eight and a half years with immense gratitude. Over the years, I’ve held multiple job titles, worked at two different locations—Naperville, IL, and Reno, NV—and, most importantly, had the privilege of working alongside some truly incredible people.

To everyone I’ve had the honor of working with, thank you. The friendships, mentorships, and experiences I’ve gained during my time at CarMax have shaped me in ways I’ll always carry forward. I will truly miss being part of the team!

For anyone out there looking for a job, I wholeheartedly recommend CarMax. It’s a fantastic company with great opportunities for growth, strong benefits, and it gets my personal stamp of approval.
